Halloween Fun

By Jenna Clark

Many people's favorite time of the year is Halloween. To celebrate the Spooky Holiday, the Northern elementary schools have thrown Halloween parties for the kids. The kids dress up in their costumes and share candy. Last year, Halloween was unable to be truly appreciated because everyone was focused on COVID. Everyone is ready to get back to living life. Dillsburg had Trick-or-Treat night on Thursday, October 28. This had a great turn out, at least from what I have seen and heard.

While Dillsburg did not have an official Halloween parade, Farmer’s Fair showed off some costumes. Part of the parade featured all ages from 0 to 14 in costume. One of the costumes was a baby in a barn! The costumes were incredible and absolutely adorable. People bonded over Farmer’s Fair and Halloween because the fun and games made it feel as though life was returning to normal.

Kids and adults alike enjoy the festivities of this holiday! Children get to enjoy dressing up and getting candy. The candy, while it does make people crazier, lasts for a long time (or at least there is enough to last for a long time) and brings a smile to their faces. Adults get to dress up their kids and eat the candy their kids do not want. It is a win for everyone! Make sure you participate it in next Halloween!
